Why does nature have no rights, but a GmbH does? On the relationship between law, ethics and nature

Michaela Krömer, according to FALTER Austria's most prominent climate lawyer asks about nature's own rights.

As a lawyer, I am concerned with what answers the law can and must give to the existential questions of our time. Protecting the environment, combating the climate crisis and sensible migration are central issues. I am committed to fundamental and human rights because I am convinced that they can make a decisive contribution to appropriate solutions. After all, it is in any case also the task of our legal system to enable a good life and coexistence for and by all of us.
